True that Avira has an amazing detection rate even with its free version. Coranti & Lavasoft Total did the best on that test overall.

    Actually, I've mistaken it's spot with TrustPort's.

    Curse the damned small image.

No. The comparison isn't with Avira Premium. Premium isn't in the test. The other version of Avira in the test is Avira Professional, the corporate version. Avira Premium would get the same detection rate as Free.

    You're not alone, it's ridiculous!
One can wonder what sort of tools they use when they are putting this together.

Also noteworthy: the difference between Lavasoft Pro and Lavasoft Total, not that I use Lavasoft since it sucks anyway (just like 25 others on that graph :D).

Also interesting, compare Ikarus with Emsisoft: the Ikarus engine is doing an insane great deal of the Emsisoft product.
Also interesting, look at all the BitDefender based products: BitDefender, BullGuard, F-Secure, G Data. All the additions of the vendors such as DeepGuard by F-Secure of the avast! engine in case of G Data improve the program a great deal.
Also interesting, in contrary to BullGuard and F-Secure, Webroot doesn't manage to significantly improve the Sophos based product by adding in-house technologies.

    RE. Improving picture size definition

You can always use CTL + That's + for the positive symbol, just below the - one on the numeric portion of the keyboard to zoom in ;) And the - to zoom out.

EDIT Changed - to + as i reversed it by mistake, sorry :(

OK thanks :thumb: So AP is worse than free :D

Very good tip, thank you. However, increasing the size of a cluttered, jumbled-mess of a chart doesn't make it much easier to read... it just magnifies the cluttered jumbled mess. ;)

I always zoom in from 100% to 147% with GC browser to check the results.

Lavasoft Total is G-Data + Ad-aware. Lavasoft Pro uses Sunbelt/VIPRE engine.

PCMag had high praise for Lavasoft Total and as you can see on that chart, it did well in Virus Bulletin tests. Like G-Data it has low false positives....but like G-Data it has a mediocre firewall.

I emailed the editor and web developer to complain.
The editor emailed me back to say... "Please try again now (click on the chart for a larger image)."
    Much, much better now.

I have to quote what has been said here... " However, increasing the size of a cluttered, jumbled-mess of a chart doesn't make it much easier to read... it just magnifies the cluttered jumbled mess."

This type of graphs is absolutely unsuitable for presenting something where the dots need to have some description. It is fine for statistical purposes, not for this.

I really agree with the person you quoted. ;)
    Yes, quite unsuitable graph.
A simple bar graph would have been so much better.
