I am trying to burn a CD and when I insert the CD and select BURN I get the message " No media inserted in the selected device". Has anyone had this problem and what is a fix for it?

    Hi Bamaman,

Check: start > my computer is the drive being seen? If yes R-click it, choose properties > recording is there a 'tick' "Enable CD recording for this drive" if not tick it & try burning. Good Luck

    Hi Bamaman,

Okay! At least windows is seeing the drive & it's set to record. Do you have Nero CD DVD tool? If not download this & see what results it gives. See:

I had a similar problem with Easy CD Creator and found out accidently that I was trying to record 16X CD's at 48X.

Cannot figure out why it did not give a message telling me that instead of telling me that I either had no media in the drive or that there was data on the CD in the drive.

Found the problem accidently and now have no problems. It may be the same with CD Burner XP Pro which I use more than any other. Not sure because I have never had any kind of problem with that program.
