    CCleaner 2.0CCleaner v2.00.500 Final

    - Starts on Vista with Admin permissions where available.
    - Fixed bug in registry cleaner with extended characters.
    - Improved global exception handling and reporting.
    - Fixed missing translated strings.
    - Fixed minor bug in Antivir cleaning.
    - Updated translations.
    - Minor tweaks and fixes.

    Reg cleaner has never given me any problems.

    CCleaner is less aggressive then the registry cleaner I use; I do trust it.

    not very aggressive,
    it handles things well including restoring things that you have removed if you change your mind.

    i also use regseekerv.1.55

    After scanning and Cleaning, ccleaner found the exact same files a further 15 times :eek: and wouldnt delete them, it kept saying 6.4MB found, but no matter how many times I ran it, those 6.4MB remaind behind :thumbd:

    May relate to an index.dat file or files in use that require a reboot to complete the deletion?

    it seems some options have been removed? it no longer has the option to remove old spybot stuff, for eg.

    Good idea to backup. CCleaner kinda messed some programs from working correctly. Good thing I did a backup and restored it, problems are gone for now, errors are still there though. It might not have been CCleaner's complete fault but it is kinda to blame :D
