There is a file in the port explorer folder called capture bin. Mine was 1,074,332 kbs and when scanning with forensic software contained all files I have downloaded and web sites visited, especially banking and trading. Is there a way to keep this clean? and is is from the spy log? Took a long time to clean in its present state.

    windows xp pro sp2
    p4 1.8

    Hi pureoil,

PE logs to two files: pelog.txt and capture.bin. You can disable, clear, or limit the size of pelog.txt from the Settings/File Logging menu. I believe the only way to clear or maintain a reasonable size of capture.bin is to delete (securely erase) it. capture.bin is unencrypted and readable.

The capture.bin does grow fast if you spy on packets, so don't let it grow too much. Just delete the file or rename it if you need to look at it another time, as Port Explorer will create another one for a next spy-occasion.
If you want to secure delete it you can, i just clean it from the inside and never let it grow that big! :)
