can't uninstall old spywareguard

    howdy
    yeah, my shift key isn't working either --that's what started this litte adventure :mad:
    i just downloaded the latest spywareguard, and per instructions went to unistall the old version. most of it was successful, but oddly, it could not get some stuff. so, manually attempting to remove it results in the following
    cannot remove sgbhp.exe acess is denied
    it does not appear write-protected, etc.

    any ideas appreciated....thanks

    update---okay, disabled the running process---thought i did that before---and then the removal seemed successful
    i'll attempt to install the new version and update

    Can you check in task manager to see if it is a running process? If SpywareGuard was running, it may not have uninstalled completely. If you can kill it with task manager and then delete or rename that file, you should then reboot your system also and see if you can clean all remain files out.
