Why is there a "Temporarily Disable Protection" link in the tray icon of Eset Nod32 when it blatantly doesn't do anything?

It's infuriating! I get a false positive (known false positive) so I disable protection whilst I copy the file and yet it still picks it up exactly the same and quarantined the file!

    Anyone?

    thanks

If you have administrator rights, it shouldn't be a problem to disable real-time protection.

You should be able to disable protection. Check out this KB Article for steps on doing that.

If the disabling isn't working, uninstall and reinstall NOD32 Antivirus.
