Can't start Spywareblaster

When I updated to the version 3.51 when trying to launch the program I get the following message and it won't start. Can anyone help? I love the program, have been using for sometime. I forgot to disable protection before uninstalling, could this have something to do with it? If so what can I do now to correct it? It was running fine before.

did u try uninstalling the new version than reinstalling(disabling protection first)?

Also it might just be that u need to download Visual Basic 6.0 run-times,

Yes I tried all of that and it will not launch. I had it on my computer before and when I tried to update to new version it wouldn't work. before installing new version I uninstalled old version, but forgot to disable protection first. I suspect that may be my problem. If so how do I correct it? I love the program and would love to be able to use it.
