    Hi,

    I have two Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers. Identically configured with PERC6 RAID controllers in RAID 10 configuration with six 450GB SAS drives for a total usable space of 1.22 TB.

    I have the latest TrueImage Server product. I created a boot CD as well as a boot USB drive. The same problem occurs with both.

    The OS is Windows Server 2003. The Dell Utility that is used to install the OS creates a small FAT16 utility partition.

    I can't backup or restore when booting from the CD-ROM or the USB drive. It says "Analyzing partition C:" and then spontaneously reboots.

    I can backup from within Windows, but the restore fails after it reboots to restore the partitions.

    What am I doing wrong? Does TI support RAID 10 in the configuration that I have?

    Please help!!!
    Thanks,
    John

    Try the latest build of ATI Echo which is 8115. The if your still having problems;
    Try the BartPE version; and include the Dell raid and sas drivers when compiling.

    I'm using 8115.

    I'm disappointed that I have to resort to some other tool. ATI is expensive. I feel like it should do the whole job itself. Am I wrong?

    Once I get BartPE loaded, what do I do next? Do I run ATI inside BartPE?

    Thanks,
    John

    No backup/imaging software works on all windows platforms except the one(s) that uses windows on the boot CD instead of linux -- linux is what most use.

    With a BartPE or VistaPE disk, you have windows instead of linux onthe boot CD and can take advantage of the windows hardware drivers instead of relying on the much more iffy linux hardware drivers.
