    Can't print - EPSON Stylus C62 Firefox & Opera.

I searched here & elsewhere. Very new to PCLinuxOS-2007.

Everything in synaptic that's brought up with the search term "EPSON" is installed.

In Opera I get the message, "No Printer Installed".

What to do? Help appreciated, thanks.

Posted at PCLinuxOS forum as well.

    Hello,

Go to vendor site and search for drivers for Linux. As far as I know, Epson make them.

Alternatively, google "epson stylus driver linux" see what comes up.

Do you know what other printer is equivalent to that one? For example, I have Lexmark E232, but using HP PCL-6 drivers with great success both in SUSE and Ubuntu, and even print from Windows network computers, using those same HP drivers.

This is the first step, if this doesn't work, then I'll try something more radical.

Went to the PCLOS Control Center & added printer.

Printing now but tone is light. How do I darken the tone? Thanks.

    Hello,
That's printer specific. Somewhere in the print options, perhaps? When you prepare to print a page...

I don't see any such option.

    Preferences > Printer

Can you post a screenshot of a typical printer screen, like in Open Officer writer or something?

Well I finally found the settings. Turned up the saturation to 120. That fixed it. Turned it down to 109, then 104 & then back to default of 100. Still printed great. So it's fixed but I don't know why. Thanks Mrkvonic.
