XP or W2k Start - Run - type Regedit, press return, find the key - Right click and permissions should be on of the list that opens.

Are you running as the Admin? Not sure about W2K, that is how you set the permissions to be listed, you will have to check through the Aministration help files unless another W2K user reads this thread and knows the answer.

If there is other win2k users looking at this: what you need is regedt32.exe Its got permission settings. The search there is way slower tho... but it works

Yes they are gone now, It was in the enum section so I don't think it wasnt that harmfull - more of a annoyance. But I dunno just wanted to be sure.

    lipe,

Please make sure to change all passwords - they have been harvested without any doubt, and will/can be misuded.

    regards.

Is it that easy to get passwords from 2k? I lost my admin pass last time and ran L0pth crack or something like that and it ran for aages until I just gave up...

Thnx for the warning tho, luckily i'm just online for a few mins max at a time and dialup gives me a dynamic ip - that should help right?

Easy or not, don't take the risk!
Those nasty code creators know what they're doing and looking for and how to get it, so please do take the trouble and change passwords.
How to tell your ISP it was not you if somebody uses your passwords to do very bad things on internet?
So please do take all possible measures for your own sake.
It is not just the dynamic IP, it is what is on your system, passwords are a very valuable part and those are not changed when loggin into internet via another IP address.
