Cant display webpage possible firewall settings?

Hi all,

I am working with one of my associates computer. She is using ESET Smart Security 4 on her desktop running windows xp. The issue is when she goes to pull up her email from her sbcgobal yahoo account, she gets the "Web page cannot be displayed." If she goes to google and clicks on a tool called mortgage calculator is cannot open as well. The wierd thing is , is that you can go on other websites and you wont get the "web page cannot be displayed" page in IE. When I went to Eset in the task menu, I right clicked and disabled the personal firewall and oddly enough after I closed out of IE and reopened, went to the yahoo mail page it worked perfectly. Im thinking its something with the firewall or a setting needing to be changed. Does anyone have any helpful advice. She does not like the idea of having the firewall turned off. It seems to that when you restart or shutoff the computer that firewall change only is temporarily and is reset to being enabled. Frustrating.....

There possibly could be a firewall rule that is blocking access to the specific web site.
