    Hi,

I have installed True Image Home 2009 to my Toshiba laptop (Satellite L300 ST2501) and I made a backup. There was a warning popup that noted since the backup was being made to the same disk that a copy should be made to external media. I am unable to do that. When I try to 'copy' then 'paste' I get a popup that says I don't have enough disk space on the USB hard disk. This happens on my wife's computer also with a different USB hard disk. Both USB hard disks have plenty of room for the image file. What is special about the TIB files?

If the external drives are formatted as FAT32 and your image files are larger than that, you're running into the 4GB filesize limit for FAT32.

You would need to convert the format to NTFS or save the backups directly to the external drive so that TI can split it. You can also select to do split the image backup when you save it to your internal drive and then copy the splits to the external (just make sure the split size is smaller than 4GB).
