Can't boot from TI 8 rescue/Start CD

Hi all,
the following problem appears using TI on my Laptop:
Using TI8 eng. I had built a bootable CD (Full Version) - seems to be OK
When I try to use the CD to boot from I only see the following messages/steps:
- loading Acronis loader
- Acronis Screen (ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE)
- after approx. 10 s only a black screen / no more actions anymore available

btw it is not possible to use F11 to enter the linux console ...

Infos:
OS = XP Pro + SP2
TI = 8.0 (build 774)
Laptop Intel Pentium 2,6 GHZ
512 MB RAM
4o GB HDD
C:\ sysdrive (primary) / d:\ data (including 1.6 GB TIB file <- c drive)

Hi Chris

If you don't need access to USB, PC Card or SCSI devices, create a "Safe" version of the Boot Rescue Disk and try that.
