    Hi,

It is my first message in here, and i did read part of the forum for similair problems, but the one that sits a little more down the page didn't solve my problem.

    Ok....here goes...

I had to re-install my computer and i put Windows 2000 (SP4) back on my system. After that i installed our copy (we have 25 licenses here) of NOD32 and put the username/pass in the appropiate field. I used the user/pass from the e-mail and that is the same user/pass everyone here in the company uses. However, my nod32 won't update to the new versions and keeps rejecting the user/pass. I tried to manually connect to the server, and also automatic server choices didn't work. The license is from June 2003 and is valid for one year.

First i thought of a server problem and kept trying for a few days. But now, after a few days i don't think that is the problem anymore. I don't really like it, as i am online and pretty unprotected.

Make sure you copy and paste your UN and PW into the Control Centre,Update, update,Setup. ALSO make sure there are NO spaces before or after your UN and PW, as I have seen this many a time when copy and paste is used.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

    I understand...lol

I read it in numerous posts....i tried it like 10 times. Filling it in new from scratch. I copy/paste it directly from the e-mail...without spaces.

Try downloading a FRESH copy of Nod from www.nod32.com with your existing UN and PW, then uninstall your current version, delete the ESET folder found in C:\Program Files then remove any remaining entries with a registry cleaner.

Once this is done, install your new copy of Nod.

With a clean reinstall of Windows this should be more than enough to fix your problem.

If this fails, you will need to contact the reseller from whom you purchased, as one of 2 things has happened, your UN or PW has become corrupt, or your license has expired.

    Cheers :D

Hmmm....there appears to be somthing wrong with the user/pass, but i don't understand what it is. Updating works fine at the computers from all of my colleagues.
I can't update and can't even get a fresh new copy from the eset website with that user/pass.
I am not a computer and/or network wizzz, but i don't get it. How can it be that colleagues within the same company can use the user/pass just fine and i can't?

    maser,

Just to make sure: could it be the company has recently renewed the license and therefore retrieved a new user name and password? IT must have an answer to that one.

    regards.

No...thats not it, as i am the person in charge of buying anti-virus programs. We have only 20 people here and they all use the same install file that I donloaded and they all use the same user/pass that I copy/pasted from the e-mail and distributed among the 20 employes.
NOD32 works everywhere except on my computer. It updates fine everywhere. So, the user/pass must be OK.

This sure is freaking me out o_O

    maser,

Let's see if we can sort this out. Please drop me an email including the Eset user name and password confirmation.

    regards.

Is it rejecting your password, or denying access to the internet?

Does it have network access still?

Try IMON,Setup,Advanced Setup,Repair Now and reboot that PC.

    Cheers :D

My user/pass is being rejected. Internet access is fine in other aplications. I tried your solution, but nothing changed. It didn't work.
