Cannot Uninstall Sun Java

Weird problem in Windows Vista - when I run the uninstall for Sun Java (from control panel), it just runs the installer again, not the uninstall utility. Have tried reinstalling from scratch but it still does the same. Any ideas?

The annoyance has the source in their Uninstall String.

You can correct it if you change /I to /X :
From:
MsiExec.exe /I{3248F0A8-6813-11D6-A77B-00B0D0160060}
To:
MsiExec.exe /X{ ... }

Or you can use MyUninstaller - standalone (that corrected the annoyance recently, like Revo Uninstaller also).
