I have downloaded and installed the trial version of NOD32. After a while, I could not open any application/ folder, open the start menu or make any action at all using my mouse or keyboard. The only thing I could do was move my mouse cursor around, but whenever I clicked on something, nothing happened. I also could not execute anything using keyboard shortcuts.

I tried desinstalling NOD32, and then everything went back to normal.

Does anyone have any idea as to what could make this happen?

    Thanks

    Hello Hyouzan

    Welcome to Wilders.

You might want to list your operating system and any other security programs you have on your computer so someone can better assist you.
What antivirus are you currently running?

I'm running Windows XP professional with service pack 2. I did not have any antivirus software installed before installing NOD32.

    Hi Hyouzan, welcome to Wilders.

    I would suggest repairing Winsock

Then reinstall a FRESH copy of NOD32 and if necessary repair Winsock again.

Then repair IMON; see post number 40 HERE

Once you are up and running I would suggest taking a wander through the NOD32 Tutorial.

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D
