    Acronis True Image Enterprise Server 8.0 build 1.213 installed on w2k3 server.

    Image of newly installed w2k Pro notebook was created and saved in shared folder on w2k3 server.

    All restoration attempts are failed due to the following error:
    Logical disk is being used by other program or system.

    What does it mean? cause no other running program exists on a clean system.
    Should i boot in a safe mode? And why there's no links to this error in user manual. Close programs, what programs? what kind of system processes can interfere with Acronis restoration process?

    It would be kind of U point me - 'Where can i read about it?' :)

    Hello Derriod,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Remote Server Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    If you receive a message similar to the example below then most likely you try to restore an image of a system partition or an image of the entire hard drive while Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server for Windows is running from under Windows. If that's the case then you should reboot your computer in order to proceed with the restoration of this particular image archive, since the system partition needs to be overwritten with the data from the image archive which apparently can not be done while Windows or any applications are running from this partition. You can find more information on how to use Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server for Windows in the respective User's Guide. If that's not the case then please provide us with the more detailed information on the problem:

    - Where do you store the image that you try to restore?

    - Make a screen shot or provide us with the exact text of the error message that you receive while trying to restore an image;

    - When exactly do you receive this error message?

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.
