Cannot play vedio from CNN

    Hi I am unable to play most of the vedios from cnn and other sites audio is played fine but the screen vedio media player screen turns green. I am able to play all the vedios on my other laptop. Need help. I have windos XP Proff. on this laptop and it is DELl D 650.

    Hello shsa1299, Welcome to Wilder's!

    Failing to mention which media player's giving you the problem, I'll take a shot it's WMP. Look through a few suggestion's under "Troubleshooting playback in Windows Media Player for Windows XP." Try lowering your video acceleration for starter's and should you back-track to the DirectX test, be aware it uses considerable cpu (close other apps after going offline to test).

    If I'm wrong about the player, please post back.
