I recently upgraded to Mac OS X El Capitan and can no longer format any media with NTFS. Using version 14.0.382 (the latest) I can read and write to NTFS with no issue, but no longer have NTFS as an option in Disk Utility to format a drive. Is this a feature to be introduced momentarily or a permanent limitation with El Capitan and Paragon NTFS for Mac?
This is a kludge workaround but you can format your media using a bootable disk of Partition Wizard or Gparted Live CD. I am not 100% sure if you can burn a bootable iso on the current OSX but I did find this. Also here is a paid solution with a 15 day free trial to see if it works for you. http://www.tuxera.com/products/tuxera-ntfs-for-mac/
