last days i've been having problems with my win xp pro. the symmptons were alike to sasser and blaster worm, but my nod32 could not find any infection! i know i have virus, but i can't find it. please help!
Hi ddd Welcome to Wilders. One way to find out if there is any Malware on your system is to follow the instructions here, https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=15913 then post your HijackThis log in the hijack cleaning forums with a full description of your problem and one of the experts will give u recommendations on any Malware found. snowbound
i scanned my comp with spy sweeper, hijackthis, but haven't found not a thing! my system at startup gives me a note that SHELL LSA (Export version) will be shut down-problem with sasser and blaster! my nod32 otherwise cannot find any virus!i even tried to download some fix tools but no luck! i really don't know what's happening to my computer cause i have reinstalled win xp pro just yesterday!
See this thread. Disable imon and see if that helps in the meantime. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=35206
Wouldn't hurt to let the experts have a look at your HJT log. Remember, if u decide to, post it in the Hijack cleaning forum. snowbound
i've got that hint on another forum so i'll try to do that! meantime let us all hope there isn't another damn virus on net!
dear ddd, try those links and download those stand-alone scanners. scan your system with them and if its infected with some common viruses hopefuly you'll know. 1. McAfee Stinger. download from here. 2. eScan AV. download from here.
Have you tried scanning with Advanced Hueristics (/AH)? That might help NOD32 find it (or so I've heard). Worth a try. See this thread.
i've tried with different fix tools (stinger as well) but not find anything! i don't know what the problem is? my explorer stops working and i cannot open any of the programs, the only thing i can do is to restart damn computer!it's getting on my nerves!
OK then, please drop an email to support@nod32.com so that we can provide you with a newer version of imon.
i always find when things like that happen to my computer or computers that im working on, try scanning with all AV and cleaners etc. in SAFE mode. it picks up more things.
