Cannot connect to xp pro from w2k pro

    Both are networked with router, workgroup/user/pass are the same, xp's firewall disabled and client for msoft net, file & printer sharing, tcp/ip all installed on both. They both can see each other in workgroup and xp can use shared folders but w2k pro can't.

    Here's the catch, w2k pro could access folders last weak!

    Desperate for any input, thanks.

    Don't bother, i've found the solution. Xp's simple file sharing was enabled and preventing w2k from accessing files.

    If anyone would like the how-to here it is;

    In xp right clik on network places, properties, tools and folder options. Choose view tab, slide bar all the way down and uncheck simple file sharing.
