Cannot connect to ERAS after changing IP addr of database server

    All,

    Version of ERAS: 4.0

    We have ERAS running on a server (let's call it ERAS1) and the ESETRADB database running on a different server (called PROD01).

    We recently changed the IP address of PROD01 and since then the ESET Remote Administrator Server service won't start.

    This is what we see in the era.log

    [2013-02-19 11:59:54.973] V1 [5123af810000] [00000250] <INIT_INFO> Can not initialize database connection 'MSSQLServer' (EC 14:-1)

    [2013-02-19 11:59:54.973] V1 [5123af810000] [00000250] <INIT_ERROR> Error initializing database connection 'MSSQLServer' (EC 14:-1)

    [2013-02-19 11:59:54.973] V1 [5123af810000] [00000250] <DEINIT_INFO> Deinit server started

    [2013-02-19 11:59:54.973] V1 [5123af810000] [00000250] <DEINIT_INFO> ESET RA Server version 4.0.138 shuting down

    Is there an IP address coded into ERAS that I need to locate and change? Do I need to reinstall ERAS?

    Any other thoughts?

    Hello,

    It sounds like the IP address change for PROD01 has not replicated to the ERAS1 server. From the ERAS1 server, can you run a traceroute PROD01, and, if so, what IP address is returned?

    SQL 'sa' account was changed. We assigned a user we called ESET to have full rights to the ESETRADB database and that resolved it.
