I don't believe it's possible to clone a HDD to a CD-R. Cloning is for copying the contents of a HDD to another HDD. If you want to create an image of a HDD on CD-R then you should be using the Create Image function not Clone.

    Hello ericwi,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software for Server.

If you want to clone your first drive to the second one, you can use the "Disk Clone" wizard. This wizard allows transferring the operating system, applications and data from one disk to another.

Also you can create the image of your hard drive ("Create Image" wizard), the image file(s) can be stored on CDs, on DVDs, on some local/network drive or on an external drive.

    Thank you.
