can spysweeper with anti virus be used as a on demand scnner?

spywaresweeper+antivirus as a on demand scanner?.....

hi my question is can spysweeper with anti virus be used as an on demand scanner or is it worth not using it?..and i know you are not supposed to use two avs at least not realtime please explain...thanks...

Spy Sweeper with AntiVirus 5.2 can be used as an on-demand antivirus scanner, if you turn off the Virus Shield (realtime AV shield)

Whether it is worth or not depends on your preference. The upgrade to add antivirus protection cost you only USD10. It looks cheap and worthwhile only if you like the Sophos engine. If you don't like it, you might think that it is not worthy even if it cost you only USD5.

The Sophos engine had been a good one, although it may not be among the top ones like KAV, NOD32 or BitDefender. So, IMHO, it is worth the price.
