I am using NOD32 on a win 2003 webserver. The server also has a mail server on it called SmarterMail.

In watching NOD32 in action, it catches attachments in email messages that are clicked on the server. And although NOD32 checks each mail message as they arrive, it does not quarantine the attached viruses unless they are clicked on.

Is it possible to have NOD32 quarantine the attached virus files even if they are not clicked on?

    Hello,

NOD32 Antivirus is able to catch malicious attachments, but to filter them out before they're opened, you should use Eset Mail Security for Exchange on your mail server if you are running Microsoft Exchange.

We also have a Gateway Security product. Sometime in the future there will be a product available for Microsoft ISA server as well.

    Regards,

    Matt
