Can I undelete a message?

For years I've heard ppl say that even though you delete something from your e-mail program, it's still on your hard drive. I've also been under the impression that to find it would take someone extremely intelligent with pc's.

Can someone tell me if I can actually do it? I have Incredimail for my e-mail program, and just deleted my husbands dispatch. It's nothing really big as he can get the information tomorrow at work, but it did get me thinking about if I can do it.

If it is a pop3 client it might be possible if you didn't clear the trash. if you did for all intents and purposes it is gone.

Just a thought, did the email program download the email to your hard drive? if it did, it would be possible to use a simple file recovery program like recovermyfiles for example.
