can Bigfix be used instead of windowsupdate?

    i went to windowsupdate yesterday and it took awhile re-enabling services which have to be on to update. now, with the services enabled, every time i reboot my computer, it tries to connect to windowsupdate :mad: . does anyone know if i can just install Bigfix and that will enable me to keep up-to-date with out having to go to windowsupdate? thanks :)
