Have no idea if it might be one of my Apps. causing this to occur or
XP itself - Sometimes in hours, sometimes in a couple of weeks I get cut off the net and the computer restarts itself.

When I look at the Event Viewer -System I see this,

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
    0x100000d1 (0x00000008, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xb6d00406).
A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini032210-01.dmp".

Anyone know what would be running a Bugcheck and if so how I could stop,
or get rid of, any App. that is Bugchecking ?

It could be one of so many possibilities, and possibly a hardware issue. What you need to do first is prevent the automatic re-booting by:

Control Panel ->System ->Advanced ->Startup and Recovery: Settings, and clear the "Automatically restart" checkbox.

This way you will get a BSOD (blue screen of death) instead. Next time it happens, make note of the name of the driver listed, if there is one, in the error message. Please see this page for common stop errors.

Okay, maybe found something on your specific error:

Thanks a lot guys - I shall start investigating via both your links - Just one related question Wat., directly above, "the "Automatically restart" checkbox
to which you refer there is another box checked, 'Send an Admin. Alert'.

As I long ago disabled XP's 'Error Reporting Tool' can I also uncheck the above mentioned too ? or is that box necessary to keep checked ?

It might be handier to cop a BSOD when the above occurs because I have a tiny Nirsoft App. called something like BSOD View and it may show a bit clearer, maybe.

I'm not sure though I guess you could try.

Are you using Windows 7 or XP?
Any time a driver is involved run some scans for malware.
Did you install any thing at the time the error occurred?

How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging

Thanks Searching, I might need the links if it continues awry.

"Are you using Windows 7 or XP" ? XP

"Any time a driver is involved run some scans for malware".
Yes I tried via several security Apps., coincidental and unfortunate that Mbam had a PITA FP at this very same time, them's the breaks.

"Did you install any thing at the time the error occurred" ?
I installed Threatfire and then Prosecurity a few weeks later, as well as
the several originals which were no bother, but not strong enough.

Have wondered if they are causing somekind of incompatibility so
uninstalled PS yesterday, and am trying Wat's advice from above Post
to see if it might show the problem better via a BSOD and Nirsoft's Viewer.

It will take some days probably to see if there is any result from those
    moves first.
