Can Anyone Explain The VPNCheck Pro Options?

I'm going to use VPNCheckPro, seems like a really great app for OpenVPN;

Can someone please explain these options?

1. Reverse IP: If detecting VPN crash fails try this. (Try this for what, what is this doing?)

2. Local IP verify: Assistance to detect if local IP change for those using routers with VPN pass through. (What just verifies your IP address and I guess no need unless you are using VPN pass through?)
