    I would like your opinion about CA INTERNET SECURITY 2008 . I do not mean comparison bu usefulness

    It is not good as other suites probably due to their utmost importance to false positives. This means that it might miss many new malware but overall it is decent suite. It is also little heavier than it used to be.

    I tried the firewall and had a terrible time removing it. I believe av-comparatives ran a special test of its 2007 av in March 2007 and detemined it had a detection rate of 65%. Should be on the av-c site under comparatives.

    yep, same here.

    an absolute disaster to remove, its like a virus in itself.

    detection is rather poor, updates are poor, its not very light on the system, the list is endless.

    simply avoid.

    I tried CA's Pest Patrol (anti spyware) and it detected Kazaa in the registry, while I DID not install Kazaa, and the registry items it detected couldn't be found by me.

    Indeed like a virus from hell,Even left behind drivers,I had some bad experiences from some softwares,but None like this ever.Just about to the point of 4mat.

    After Microsoft hired lots of CA people i wouldn't expect too much from CA at the moment.
