I read the "How to remove it completely." And I'm still having problems. I cant get rid of the "avshlext.dll." When I try and delete the file I get an Deleting Error. My computer crashed and an Error log told me it was because I didn't update CA anti-virus or something.

Anyways, The story behind this is a while back my Mother Broad broke and we have to update everything. Well the guy said he made the things run on a duel memory if that matters at all.

I am just wondering, how to delete it?

Did you try and uninstall CA Antivirus/Suite which ever you have installed ?? Incase you didn't restore all the files you deleted and use the uninstaller.

    In 2000/XP:
Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs> Select CA Antivirus and hit the uninstall button.
See CA support Video (in Flash) : http://homeofficekb.ca.com/CIDocume...eturn=0&GUID=F98FD28772CD455B87972438D12EAB41
Now a program should start that will remove CA antivirus from your system. Just follow the steps, and it should be gone.

    In Vista:
    See CA support Article: http://homeofficekb.ca.com/CIDocume...eturn=0&GUID=2EB011DA500748438BF66E8418220F86

Note: With CA antivirus 2007 and onwards the unvet process doesn't work. You can only uninstall via MSI available from Control Panel.
