    Good day,
The above is what I got after a virus scan this morning. I do not have any other anti-virus installed along with Nod32 version 2, did not do any online scanning either. Deleted the swap file- Same error on new scan after reboot.
Been getting random blue screens on bootup or after installing a program.
    Errors like :
    Last few days :
OE fatal error at 0028 : ED 14 CAAF
    "" "" : ED 5B5 AAF
    " " : ED 609 AAF
    This morning :
OE fatal error at 016F : BFF 86EBD from this morning
    " " : BFF 87188
As it occurs on boot ups only (or reboots) I changed power supplies.
    Tested the ram with memtest.
Tested the PCU and graphics card with 3D Marks 2001
All ok but still random error messages.
    Set up :Win98SE, Abit BH7 last bios 15- P4 2.4 B- TI4200 with Zalman cooler - One stick of 512 Micron cas3 ram.
350W Hiper PSU- 2 Maxtor HD 40gig 7200 RPM. 1 Yamaha CD burner - 1 Asus CD rom drive- 1 Sony floppy reader- external ECI DSL modem-
Using Adaware, Outpost firewall free, Regseeker, Spywareblaster, Firefox 1.6,
    Thunderbird.
    Anyone had similar hassle ?
Anyone can suggest more testing software ?
    Thanks for any help.

» Be sure you have the latest version of NOD32 (an update for NOD32 running under Win98 has been released which should fix blue screens..).
» Error opening file is a normal item of every NOD32 user... NOD32 just informs you about file that was not scanned...

This is windows 98 Swap file. It will never be scanned by ANY AV when windows is running! So its perfectly normal!

    Thanks for the replies;
Strange thing is that I've been using Nod 32 for 3 years and never got a swap file -error opening- message.
Furthermore, I've always used Nod32 for Win98 and did not know there was a fix for that OS.
    Will look into that
    Thank you

In NOD32 2.5 there is scanning all files option set to default.. that's why you got this error recently...
