I'm cleaning a computer for someone and came across this directory:

    http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1872/34700620hl3.jpg

I've been all over Google surfing this name but there is nothing, makes me think it's some left over malware that was partially cleaned.

    Anyone have a clue?

    THANKS

That doesn't tell anything, I found similar reports on Google.

BUT a directory with a name, you should be able to find out what it is in Google and there is nothing, that leads me to think this is not legitimate.

After all how you not going to find legitimate software through Google? If it's real it's going to be listed, yet I can't find anything... :doubt:

    That's a big leap there.
Perhaps it never reached critical mass on a wide front. There's plenty of stuff that doesn't turn up on Google easily. How about doing some real detective work like pulling the files apart (see if that leads to additional embedded information that may show up in Google) or looking in the registry or executing under controlled conditions.

The correlation between malware "hiding" and not being able to locate information on a specific folder is not one I'd make at this point.

Well in the past 10 years of using Google, any .dll or .exe I threw at it I was able to find.

This is one of them I'm checking now:

    GetWebFile.exe

    THANKS
