Does anybody else have experience of Smart Security’s (V.4) C.P.U. usage? I have an older laptop with it installed. I have found out after a bit of detective work that the scheduling of an auto update causes 100% of C.P.U. use (I only have one).
A search of Eset’s knowledge base was of no help. Does anybody know how to stop this as the processor has been cooked quite enough already?

how old is the laptop, what is the config (ram and cpu). In similar situation it was not the autoupdate in itself but the subsequent scheduled scanning with new updates.
