    I chose "install for current user", which should by definition install all startup items for the current user. This means:
    1. Put the start menu folder in %USERPROFILE%\Start Menu
    2. Put any "run" registry entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    The 3625 installation did (1) but not (2): the registry entries were put in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. This is incorrect behavior.

    Hello MKairys,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please clarify which autorun entries you are referring to?

    Thank you.

    After installing build 3633, during which installation I selected "for current user only", I find in my registry:

    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
    "TrueImageMonitor.exe"="C:\\Program Files\\Acronis\\TrueImageHome\\TrueImageMonitor.exe"
    "AcronisTimounterMonitor"="C:\\Program Files\\Acronis\\TrueImageHome\\TimounterMonitor.exe"
    "Acronis Scheduler2 Service"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Acronis\\Schedule2\\schedhlp.exe\""
    These should be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER instead.

    Hello MKairys,

    We are very sorry for the delay with the response.

    Please be aware that what you have found out is not a problem, but a normal behavior of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home. The registry entries related to the TrueImageMonitor.exe, AcronisTimounterMonitor and Acronis Scheduler2 Service processes\services are placed to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER because these processes\services are required for Acronis True Image 9.0 Home to function properly (e.g. to perform a scheduled task) when the user you installed the software for is logged off or logged in using another account.

    We recommend that you take a look at these previous threads: Registry, Startup, how to turn off?, Trueimagemonitor.exe and timountermonitor.exe?? explaining what schedul2.exe, schedhlp.exe, TrueImageMonitor.exe and TimounterMonitor.exe processes are. You may also find this previous thread interesting.

    If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
