    Hello,

The other day I noticed what I think is a bug in ESS. If any of the components listed are disabled there is no UAC prompt to allow the change.

Do you mean that clicking on Disable will not open the UAC prompt window?

    Hello,

when you disable real-time file system protection, you will receive only this notice :

correct, shouldn't it generate a prompt? The logo makes me believe it should. The same is true for any options under the advanced setup menu.

But you dont have issue's changing those settings?

This might be stupid to say but dont you just have UAC disabled? If so, the icons are still displayed but the UAC prompt aint needed to change the settings.

Also there's an option in the setup -> User interface -> Access setup where you can enable or disable elevation of rights for both UAC and non-UAC systems, depending on which one you're using.
