Bug egui.exe?Why I can terminate the process

    Hi
    I have a bug with the egui.exe process, i can terminate the process :X

    Why does this occurs?

    what os, any error message when you attempt to terminate. what are you using to terminate. what version Eset

    Unlike ekrn.exe, egui.exe is not a process responsible for protecting you against threats.

    no i mean, i have a friend that also has eset and when he tries to terminate egui.exe on task manager it isnt possible, an error comes up. but when i do it, it terminates... is it good? or bad?

    Once again - terminating egui.exe does NOT affect your realtime protection in any way.

    I think egui.exe is protected as of v. 4.2

    Running 4.2.40.0. Was able to kill egui.exe from Task Manager with no problems. Restarted egui.exe from the Start Menu. Doesn't look like it's protected to me...

    I can not terminate egui.exe on W7 32-bit with the very latest ESS version

    Maybe you are working on non-administrative account? System automatically protects processes launched from NT Authority\SYSTEM account from terminating by standard user.

    Do you actually have self-defense enabled?
