I don't know, since Sandboxie (a similar program) caused such issues on your computer .

It is a good program but there are some things to be aware of with it. There is more of a learning curve than with Sandboxie and updating the browser and add-ons requires you to understand more about how the program works than with Sandboxie.

what is the functional difference between sandboxie and bufferzone?

and how has bufferzone been? because their forums are diabolical (no replies in 3 or more months...)

    many thanks for that

but i dont like how you have to save a snapshot and then reload the snapshot just to save some bookmarks on the 'real' system

If I was using BZ, I would save bookmarks on a text file.

I know you said, on the other thread, that you don't want to use SBIE but
as I read your comments, I think SBIE sounds more like the program that
    you are looking for.

Personally, I don't like to save sandboxes but if you create one and save
    it, then you'll have:
"bookmarks, history, passwords etc in firefox without having to faff around".
Which is what you want, I think.

thank you for your input, after much testing, i still have not found a program to compliment my setup.

i have noticed that a few of the programs i have been testing have major new versions coming out soon (bufferzone, applocker etc) so i will wait and retest again when they come out
