@vtol: There is this article (cited in another thread here) that says that Chrome is the most insecure browser, and then there is this rebuff by Brain Krebs who emphasizes the importance of a thorough and differentiated analysis. I wonder what Brain Krebs would say about your sweeping accusations ...

Eventually every assessment center, and nothing else is the webpage cited by the OP, gets down to number in order to compare.

every such assessment will almost certainly be called biased and interpreted, that curiously happens mostly by those coming up short or defending something coming up short.

by looking at that security test, which seems to reflect today's technologies and challenges, FF simply does not pass with flying colors.

and having checked the matter from the other thread with various browsers FF felt the last secure or protective against this sort of malware delivery

this thread was never about counting vulnerabilities but how the browsers do fare in the test mentioned by the OP

Yes, but any test is biased one or the other way: Which criteria are included? How are they weighted? Are the results relevant for real life? Does a shortcoming in one or more criteria indeed pose a serious threat to our systems? etc.

The general assessment of Brian Krebs also applies to such questions. It's a warning that comparing browsers (or any other software, for that matter) is a complex process. Bashing one product because of one or two (real or alleged) shortcomings is neither fair nor conducive.

Firefox + NoScipt is at rank 1, together with Chrome. Good theory but doesn't apply in our case.
Our case is about FUD, and debunking it.

going that length never compare any product as there will always be one at the top and one at the bottom, but that will be biased too. and one to believe that the bottom is the best and the top the worst.

if you doubt the test or the credibility of the test designers please share your thoughts

what I see critic is that the test does not determine whether No(t)script is involved or not, as that makes a difference

    does not look much of a security improvement/development (beta 1 / b1111 on 7x64)
