broadband connection 512k or 1mb

Thanks mul....I read your comments earlier in the thread but it doesn't answer my questions.....personally I wouldn't have AOHell as a gift but that's just my opinion....and I can't get cable where I live NTL won't lay in the cable this far out, not enough profit in it for 'em.....it's just that when I read all the blurb from various BB ISPs they all seem very contradictive....plus there seem to be no end of 'orrer stories with regard to 'No Service', no Modem deliveries etc., etc., but once your signed up they've put thereselves on your phone line and started taking money out of your bank and it would then appear your at their mercy...or is it just me.....

Still open for advice......
