Dragon1952, the same thing happened to me, and I installed KB3034196 without having to reboot the PC, with no issues.

Subsequently followed-up with a system restore and reapplied the windows updates. And since the referenced bsod is memory related, I uninstalled CleanMem. My best guess is that there's a conflict with CleanMem and Shadow Defender after extensive use in virtual mode. In any event, problem resolved.

Only problem I've experienced with Windows Update recently was a minor one I think that was posted earlier on this thread.

    Borky days are here again?

    borkydaysarehereagain.jpg

Anyone else getting KB2970228? I finally ran the last 'Borkday' updates Wednesday morning without any problems. The computer was on for about two hours (07:00 - 09:00hrs) this morning without any update notices. I switched it on again at about 12:50 GMT to get this KB2970228 seemingly out of the blue.

    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2970228?wa=wsignin1.0

'After you apply this update, the new Russian ruble symbol can be input by using the physical keyboard, Windows on-screen keyboard (osk.exe), or Tablet PC Input Panel (Tabtip.exe) in Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2. Additionally, the new currency symbol is added on the Currency tab of the Region settings in Control Panel. '

    WTF? o_O

    Hi Daveski,
I got this a couple of weeks ago and chose to 'Hide it'. I agree with you, why is this a 'Recommended update' ?

Hi Gordon. Yes, it puzzles me why it isn't 'optional' rather than a recommended update, especially considering it has produced known issues. I've hidden it as well. :thumb:

I can't get any information on KB3006137 as the 'More Information' page won't open for me at the moment. Has anyone had any problems with KB3006137?

Because it is not just related to Lithuania but it has the worldwide monetary effect and as Microsoft is used worldwide in banks, institutions etc. it needed to be changed globally.

I wonder why the discrepancy in labelling these updates? That's the real mystery. ;)

You're welcome. :) There are sometimes things with Microsoft which go beyond our understanding but actually they are justified.

That's indeed strange. Maybe Microsoft evaluated that my country has less business relations with Lithuania than yours :)
