This is justa Heads Up to those of you who my be purchasing BootBack (formerly FD-ISR) and use PerfectDisk as a de-frag. PD does not auto exclude $ISR\0 from the de-frag scan like it does w/ FD-ISR. This needs to be done manually.

So BootBack has also a "C:\$ISR\0\$ISRBIN", but PD doesn't recognize it. Almost hard to believe. Are you sure about this ?

In this thread you can see it on a screenshot post #13 :

BootBack is justa re-branded FD-ISR. "Only" the name has changed, Icon is identical, as are the guts.

Yes I'm sure, why would I post this if I wasn't sure? ;)

Yeah, several people I know scan / de-frag $ISR\0\BIN with no ill effects. I'm not one of them. I exclude $ISR\0 in UD and on the box that has BootBack & PD I also exclude it.
I'd rather be safe than sorry.

PD doesn't exclude $isr/bin, this is what PD excludes :

    C:\$ISR\0\$ISRBIN

Look at the link in my first post.

No problem, that's not what's bothering me.
I find it bizar that BootBack = FDISR with the same kind of folders, while PerfectDisk is excluding this $ISR-object for FDISR and NOT for BootBack. Does that sound logical to you ? Not to me.

Only thing that comes to mind is that when Raxco was distributing, "they" added some code to "FD-ISR" for PD not to scan that folder. Now that Software Pursuits has it, less the code, PD scans it.

    It'sa puzzle alright.

I think FD ISR and PD both from Raxco is a close alliance so naturally they make these work together,Software Pursuits has nothing to do with PD, hence it is up to you then to exclude the file,at least its possible to do that.
