Since I've never used this product I would like to ask about this capability before testing/buying.

One of my systems features a RAID controller and stripe set. There are no DOS drivers for the RAID controller. When installing XP you have to hit F6 and put in the floppy, etc.

The plan is to make an image of the drive and create a bootable CD. Then if there's a failure, I just boot the CD, run the program, restore the image, reboot and we're back in business. Problem is, typically these bootable CD scenarios are not loading a version Windows. The system would never see the drives due to the fact that there's no driver for the RAID controller.

Does this problem exist with the True Image software as well?

    Hello shredhead,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Acronis True Image will work for your scenario. Though some RAID controllers are currently not supported by Acronis Bootable CD because of lack of open source Linux drivers for them you will be able to download Acronis True Image plug-in for BartPE that will definitely work for you.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.
