    Hi everybody!

I downloaded yesterday the trial version of TI 9.1.
I Installed it, created the Bootable CD, tested on my Benq Joybook 7000 (laptop). The safe version is working; the full versions hangs on the "please wait... " forever. I tried the solutions proposed in the "read before posting" but nothing (well... actually i didn't try the diskette part because i don't have a diskette drive). If I cancel the "quiet" i can see the process log flowing trhough the USB part; when it arrives at the "ohci1394.o" part it stops and it's the end.

I'm not very expert, but looks like a problem with firewire. I don't have any device attached to the firewire port.

    Can you suggest something?

    Thank you in advance

    Hello neverstill,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

quiet nofw, click on the OK button and choose "Full Version".

If that does not help, please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen advising you to select either "Full", "Safe" or "Boot into Windows" option appears. After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the OK button and choose "Full Version". As the startup messages stop scrolling, you can use Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn keys in order to scroll the screen manually. Please write down the last few lines of the output, or use a digital camera to make shots of the output screens and send the captured information to us.

Please create Acronis Report as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please submit a request for technical support using Ask a question before you purchase Acronis software link. Perfect! Working everything (with the quiet nofw parameter)

I have only to ask if it's normal that it took around 10 hours to restore a 20 GB partition from a USB 2.0 external hard disk. Is it possible that the Recovery Manager didn't recognize the 2.0 architecture?

However thank you very much for your effective support

Could you please clarify what exact Acronis product you use?

As you do not have a floppy drive then please take a look at this previous post and follow the instructions in order to create the sysinfo.txt file to USB flash drive.
