Boot sector virus BOO/Alureon.A

    Eset NOD32 4.0.437.0 doesn't detect the Boot sector virus Boo/Alureon.A. I have found it a few workstation using avira to detect it. I need help to detect and prevent it with Eset.

    I had no problem removing it. I just want to prevent and detect it with eset.
    I used an XP SP3 CD
    ran recovery console
    fixboot c:
    fixmbr

    I don't have a sample anymore the next time I do I will upload it.

    I wonder if you had the Anti-Stealth module 1021 or the newer one from pre-release servers 1022 installed.

    Open the GUI and at the top Right click on Help and then about!
