Hello. I haven't been here in a while but I know the last time I was here, you guys were sooo helpful. :)

I ran my AVG (free version) this afternoon and it said "Boot Sector of Disk C - Reading Error". What does this mean and how do I fix it? Please help.

    Thank you.

Did you try a second scan to see if it repeated the message?

Yes, after I ran other stuff like Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE and CCleaner. I also went to Trendmicro housecall, free online scan. I don't know if that does anything...

Has your AVG shown the "reading Error" again? It is possible it is an AVG specific problem.

Yes, it appeared again. If I have a Boot Sector Error, what would happen to my computer if not fixed?
