    Hi all

Usually my PC will boot to the Acronis OS loader screen and I select XP without any problem. Right now I get a message saying: Acronis Loader: No configuration file present
    Press <Enter> to reboot

This doesn't alter anything, just brings me back to the same point.

I purchased my copy of ATI 8.0 online a few weeks ago but foolishly neglected to create a rescue disk. Would Acronis have automatically registered my copy of the program so there will be a record of my purchase?

Reading through the threads on the forum is helpful but I'm unsure whether the message is referring to a file that ATI or XP itself needs.

Any suggestions as to the best way to recover from this situation?

PC spec: Abit KT-7 Raid mbo, AMD Athlon 1GB cpu, 1 x 40MB Hitachi/IBM ATA HD (very new), 1.5GB RAM, NEC 3520 DVD drive, 3.5" Floppy, 250MB internal ZIP drive. No problems to report with this setup - not the latest and greatest but it's what I can afford.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

    Hello Explorer900,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please try to boot the computer from a Windows XP Installation CD, start Recovery Console and run fixmbr command. If the problem still persists please send a letter with the link to this thread to support@acronis.com.

You can create a rescue disk at any moment: Acronis True Image -> Tools -> Create Bootable Rescue Media.

To register your software at Acronis support database you can register your account at http://www2.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/registration/ and then register your product at http://www2.acronis.com/my/products/registration/. It will greatly help us in future to solve any possible problems.

    Thank you.
