Is a boot CD made on version 9 of TI good for any computer running vr 9 or is the disk specific for only the computer it is made on?

    Thanks, Don

See here. Also the CD is transferable from one computer to another.

    Hello jdgriff,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are very sorry for the delay with the response.

First of all, please be aware that, as dld has already mentioned above, Acronis True Image 9.0 Home is "backward" compatible with image archives created using any previous Acronis True Image versions. In other words, it is capable of restoring\mounting image archives created using previous Acronis True Image versions.

As for "transferring" Bootable Rescue CD to another computer(s), please note that the 'Full' version of Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD is Linux based and has it's own assortment of drivers for a wide variety of modern hardware devices. Thus, Bootable Rescue CD is not hardware dependent and can be used on any other computer.

Please also note that regardless of the fact that Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD can technically be used on any computer independently of it's hardware configuration, according to the Acronis software licensing policy you should purchase one copy of Acronis program per every computer where it will be used.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
