I know this topic has been discussed greatly but haven't found an answer. I just installed true image 9 build 2.259. I have two firewire external hard drives, one ion and the other acomdata. True image in windows sees both drives. When the boot cd loads it gives the error message- error logging into sb2 device logging out. - and neither drive is seen. Can anything be done or do I need to ask for a refund? This seems like a good product and would really like it to work! o_O

I believe the problem is with the linux os on the boot cd. I've read that linux and firewire don't get along well. I'm not alone in this from the numerous other posts I've read. I've used powerquest drive image and their boot cd saw the firewire hd's with no problem. I'm asking for a refund as this product is useless for me.

    Hello Larrycleve,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

First of all please download the latest build (2270) of Acronis True Image 9.0. In order to get access to updates you should register account on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product. Then create a new bootable CD and see whether the problem remains. If the new build doesn't help please do the following:

    - If the drive is connected to the computer through a hub*, please connect it directly.
    - Then if the problem persists please create sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.
