I'm surprised that no one here has yet reported a bork originating with the September updates: the Security Warning on bookmarks treating the .url extension as an unknown file type. It's happening on all versions of Windows. Some workarounds have been posted, but they don't satisfactorily rectify the problem. I use a bookmark manager (Linkman Pro) which circumvents the problem, but I often launch from Start Menu Favorites. For now, I'm putting up with "Do you want to open this file?" just to launch a URL. Can't imagine why so few people are complaining about this issue!

Maybe people don't use url links to access favorites that much. To be frank, I don't remember many people using them . Usually they use browser built-in favorites.
